Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Head, Andhika Permata said, Jakarta's participation in IBTM World Barcelona 2025 is part of a strategic initiative to continue positioning itself not only as a business and economic hub but also as a leading MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and urban tourism destination in the world.
"The success of this mission will be a key catalyst for Jakarta's economic growth and its reputation on the world stage," he expressed, Wednesday (11/19).
Jakarta Marketing and Attraction Section Head, Lucky Wulandari stated that participating in IBTM World Barcelona 2025 is a concrete step to promote Jakarta to the world.
He explained that the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency not only offers a place but a complete, connected, and energetic metropolitan experience.
"We want global MICE industry players to see Jakarta as a strategic partner ready to host international events with the best facilities and excellent service," he explained.
He added, Jakarta's participation is an effort to shift the global perception of Jakarta from just a busy business city to a comprehensive and attractive MICE and urban tourism destination. It is believed that the message 'The Future Jakarta' or 'Jakarta of the Future' is designed to showcase a new face of a modern, connected, dynamic city rich in authentic experiences.
"The Jakarta delegation will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in the global MICE industry, network with competing destination leaders, and gain valuable insights to continue refining Jakarta's MICE strategies and services in the future," he stated.
